The Oxford Union is an extraordinary place. Nowhere else will you find a line-up of such prominent speakers or compelling debates. Since 1823, the Union has hosted leaders in every field, from politics and business to sport and the arts. Membershave the opportunity to meet their heroes, challenge speakers through interactive Q&As and join debating workshops.
The Union is also a social hub for Oxford, offering Members access to our Members' Bar, Snooker Room, frequent socials and termly Union Ball, as well as use of the beautiful library and historic reading rooms.

Fundraising Vision & Goals
In 2023, our bicentenary year, we launched an appeal to raise £5m to fund essential maintenance works to enable the Union to continue to fulfil its time-honoured role as a bastion of free speech.
We're grateful to have achieved 1/3 of this fundraising goal so far.
